   QM Series

   700W - 1500W Modular power supply




The high efficiency modular QM range is available in system fan and low noise fan versions. The 3 models within the range are QM5 which is rated at 1200W high line and 700W low line and QM7 and QM8, both rated at 1500W high line and 1200W low line. Combining 1 MOPP (1.5kVac) input to ground, 2 MOPP (4kVac) input to output and 1 MOPP (1.5kVac) output to ground isolation, the entire QM range is certified for both medical equipment (making it suitable for BF (body floating) type) and industrial. High efficiency levels of up to 91% are combined with a wide selection of modules to perfectly match your requirement.


The DRB series of DIN rail power supplies up to 480W  







TDK Corporation announces the introduction of two additional DRB DIN rail mount AC-DC power supplies, rated at 120W and 240W (144W/288W peak for 10 seconds).  The products have a very narrow width, providing additional space for other DIN rail mount modules.  Having efficiencies of 93%, less internal heat is generated resulting in cooler electrolytic capacitors a field life of greater than 7 years at 75% load, 230Vac input.  These models complete the cost effective 15W to 480W DRB series, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications including factory automation, process control and test and measurement.   

The DRB120 and DRB240 models are housed in a robust metal enclosure, measuring 124mm in height, 125mm deep and widths of 35mm and 41mm respectively.  The power supplies can operate from a wide range 85 – 264Vac input and withstand a surge of 300Vac for 5 seconds.  Both have a 24V output and feature an isolated DC OK opto-coupler signal in addition to an LED indicator.  The outputs can be adjusted from 24 - 28V to compensate for series blocking diodes or FETs in redundant configurations.   

Input to output isolation is 3,000Vac, input to ground 1500Vac and the output to ground is 500Vac.  The DRBs are convection cooled and rated for operation in -25 to +70 o C ambient temperatures (cold start at -40 o C), derating linearly above 55 o C to 50% load at 70 o C.   

The units are safety certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1, IEC/EN/UL 62368-1, UL 508, IEC/EN 62477-1 (OVC III), and are CE marked for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS2 Directives.  Both meet EN55011-B, EN55032-B, CISPR11-B, CISPR22-B, EN61204-3 (Class A) radiated and conducted emissions, and comply with the EN61000-4 immunity standards.


5kW 1U programmable DC power supply series extended with five new output configurations



TDK Corporation (TSE 6762) announces the introduction of five new models to the TDK-Lambda brand 5kW GENESYS+™ series of high power density programmable DC power supplies. This expansion now provides incremental and seamless choices in output voltage and current ranging from 0-10V/500A to 0-600V/8.5A. Initially launched in 2017, the GENESYS+™ provides higher efficiency, improved performance and is functionally compatible with existing TDK-Lambda Genesys™ and Z+ programmable power supplies. The series is suitable for use in a large number of applications, including component, automotive and aerospace testing, semiconductor fabrication, solar array and battery simulation, plating and water treatment.

All GENESYS+™ 5kW products share a common 1U high 19” (483mm) rack mountable chassis and weigh just 7kg, the lightest in the industry. The five new models are rated at 0-40V/125A, 0-60V/85A, 0-80V/65A, 0-100V/50A and 0-150V/34A with operation in constant voltage, constant current and constant power modes. The units can be configured with three phase 170 to 265Vac, 342 to 460Vac or 342 to 528Vac inputs. Up to four power supplies can be connected in parallel with an advanced master/slave system that provides dynamic load response and ripple and noise characteristics comparable with that of a single power supply.

Programming is possible using the front panel controls, remotely via LAN (LXI 1.5), USB 2.0 and RS232/485 communications, or by using the isolated analogue control and monitoring (0-5V, 0-10V) which are provided as standard.  Optional interfaces include a choice of GPIB (IEEE488.2) and the Anybus CompactCom interface platform for DeviceNet™, EtherCat, Modbus, PROFIBUS and other interface options as they are released. Software drivers, a waveform creator and a virtual front panel GUI are provided in the software package. Safety features are standard in all GENESYS+™ power supplies, providing Safe/Auto Re-Start, Last Setting Memory and built-in protection functions.

The five-year warranty series is safety certified to IEC/EN/UL 60950-1, is CE marked to the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS2 Directive and is compliant to the industrial IEC/EN 61326-1 standard for conducted EMI, radiated EMI and EMC immunity.

Convection and conduction cooled power supply series includes 3.3V, 4.2V and 28V models

 TDK Corporation (TSE 6762) announces the introduction of 3.3V, 4.2V and 28V output models to the TDK-Lambda brand CUS200LD series of AC-DC power supplies. Rated from 79W to 120W with convection cooling and 99W to 151W when mounted on an aluminium plate for conduction cooling, the series can deliver up to 206W for 10 seconds. The CUS200LD series conservative capacitor ratings are designed for long field life in LED signage applications, as well as industrial, broadcast, test, measurement and communication equipment.

The series accepts a wide range 85 to 265Vac input, and is now available with 3.3V, 4.2V, 5V, 7.5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, 28V and 48V outputs. All models are adjustable over a ±10% range to accommodate non-standard voltage requirements. The CUS200LD is packaged in a compact low profile enclosure, measuring 160 x 60 x 31mm (L x W x H). All models will start up at -40°C and can operate in ambient temperatures from -20 to +70°C, derating from +45°C (conduction cooling) to 40% load at 70°C.

Safety certification is to the IEC/EN/UL 60950-1 standards with CE marking for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS2 Directives. The units also comply with EN 55011-B and EN 55032-B conducted and radiated emissions, and meet the EN 61000-3-2 harmonics and IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.

TDK Corporation (TSE 6762) announces the introduction of the DRM40 series of DIN rail mount redundancy modules.  Two 10V to 30Vdc inputs are rated at 20A each and the output at 40A.  A 150% peak load capability for four seconds is provided for capacitive and inductive loading. The internal MOSFET reverse current protection devices have a low 200mV drop, reducing voltage losses in the module.

An LED on the front panel provides a visual indication when both input currents are balanced and equally sharing the output load.  Applications for the DRM40 modules include factory automation, process control and test and measurement equipment where two power supplies are used in a redundant configuration, paralleled to obtain higher power or for battery charging purposes.

In addition to two front mounted LEDs, the DRM40 has two isolated DC Good PhotoMOS relays to remotely monitor the presence and status of each input voltage.  For cost sensitive applications, the DRM40B model provides the same reverse protection functionality, without the DC Good and current balancing circuitry.

The DRM40 series is housed in a metal enclosure, measuring 124mm in height, 125mm deep and a width of 35mm. The modules are rated for full load operation in -40°C to +70°C ambient temperatures.

Low profile 88W DIN rail power supply conforms to Class 2 and Class II standards

  TDK Corporation (TSE 6762) announces the introduction of the TDK-Lambda brand DRL100-24-1/C2 DIN rail power supply. The C2 model, with a 24V output and delivering 88W of output power, is approved to meet the requirements of US NEC (National Electric Code) Class 2 in accordance with UL1310. This makes it suitable for use in building automation and security systems requiring restrictions on the amount of available output current to avoid wiring damage, even under fault conditions. The C2 model also benefits from a Class II construction (no ground wire needed).   

 The DRL100-24-1/C2 is housed in a robust plastic case, measuring 72mm wide, 55.6mm deep and 91mm high, the same depth and height profile as the 10 to 100W models in the DRL series. All DRL models will operate from a wide range input of 85 ‐ 264Vac and can withstand a 300Vac peak for five seconds. Off-load power consumption is less than 0.5W and the efficiency is 90% at full load with a 230Vac input.

The DRL series has a Class II (double insulated) construction, requiring no earth ground connection, and 3,000Vac input to output isolation. All models are convection cooled and are rated for operation in -20 to +71°C ambient temperatures (derating applies at high temperature).

The DRL series is certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1 and UL 508, and is CE marked for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS2 Directives. All models meet EN55032-B conducted emissions, EN55032-A radiated emissions, EN 61000-3-2 harmonic currents and EN61000-4 immunity standards.

5V 60A DC-DC converter accepts a 200 to 425V input and has EN 62477-1 (OVC III) certification

TDK Corporation (TSE 6762) announces the introduction of the TDK-Lambda brand PH300A280-5 DC-DC converter, completing the PH-A280 series of 200 to 425V input 50 to 300W power modules. The new model is designed for data communications and renewable energy applications utilising 380V HVDC (High Voltage DC).

The new model is rated at 5V 60A and has a wide 2.5 to 6V adjustment range to accommodate non-standard voltages. Packaged in the industry standard half-brick format (61.0 x 12.7 x 57.9mm), it has an efficiency of 89% and can operate at full load with -40°C to +100°C baseplate temperatures. The converter can be conduction cooled making it suitable for use in sealed outdoor enclosures, liquid cooled applications or convection cooled with an optional heatsink.

All PH-A280 modules have a standard feature set including a five-year warranty, remote on-off, over-current, and over-voltage protection. The series is fully isolated with an input to output isolation of 3,000Vac and safety certified to IEC/EN 60950-1, UL/CSA 60950-1 with CE marking for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives. Additionally, the PH300A280 models are certified to EN 62477-1 (Over Voltage Category III) for fixed installations with a permanent connection to a distribution panel. This avoids the need for a transformer to reduce input voltage transients.

Programmable, convection cooled, 600W AC-DC power supplies have industrial and medical safety certifications

TDK Corporation (TSE 6762) announces the introduction of the GXE600 series of 600W rated AC-DC power supplies, certified to the IEC 60601-1 medical safety standard as well as IEC 62368-1.  In a 1U high package, these convection cooled products have the ability to be digitally programmed across a wide range using an RS-485 interface (Modbus RTU protocol) or with a 0 – 6V external voltage.  Target applications are medical, industrial and test equipment requiring quiet operation, fan-less cooling and constant voltage, constant current programmability.

The GXE600 series can be operated as a 24V or 48V fixed output supply, or programmed to be provide a constant voltage, constant current (CVCC) source.  The voltage adjustment range is from 20 to 120% and the current from 20 to 100%.  Protection and recovery parameters can be set, as can the rise time slew rate.  Via the digital communications interface the power supplies can also indicate the estimated remaining electrolytic capacitor life-time, operating run-time and alarm history to enable remote preventative maintenance indication or fault finding.

The power supplies operate from a wide-range input of 85 to 265Vac with an earth leakage current of <300µA and dual input fuses as standard.  They can be used in ambient temperatures of -20°C to +70°C (-40°C start up), derating linearly above 50°C to 50% load at 70°C.  Derating or external cooling is required below 170Vac input.  The fully featured series also has an isolated 5V 1A standby voltage, remote on/off, DC Good and AC Fail isolated signals, with paralleling capability for up to five units.  The case dimensions are a compact 127 x 41 x 254mm (W x H x L).  The warranty period is seven years.

The units are safety certified to IEC/EN/ES/CSA 60601-1, IEC/EN/US/CSA 62368-1, IEC/EN/US/CSA 60950-1, EN 62477-1 (OVC III), with CE marking for the Low Voltage, EMC and RoHS2 Directives.  Input to output isolation is 4,000Vac (2 x MoPP), input to ground 2,000Vac (1 x MoPP) and 1,500Vac output to ground (1 x MoPP) for suitability with B and BF rated equipment.  The units also comply with EN 55011-B,  EN 55032-B, FCC Class B, VCCI-B conducted and radiated emissions, meet the EN 61000-3-2 harmonics and EN 60601-1-2 (Edition 4) immunity standards.

504W AC-DC conduction cooled power module offers leading edge size and PMBus™ communications

  TDK Corporation (TSE 6762) announces the introduction of the TDK-Lambda brand PFH500F-28 high efficiency AC-DC power supplies. Rated at 504W, the baseplate conduction-cooled module is packaged in a compact 101.6mm x 61mm footprint. Using industry standard PMBus™ commands, the output voltage and fault management levels can be adjusted (read/write) and product status read back. The PFH500F series has been designed for outstanding performance in COTS (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf), LED signage, communications, broadcast, test and measurement equipment.

 The PFH500F-28 has an operating efficiency of up to 92%, enabled through the use of the latest technology. This includes GaN semiconductors, bridgeless power factor correction with synchronous rectification and digital control. A digital isolator replaces the traditional optocoupler for long term stability and reliability.

 Operating from a wide range 85 to 265Vac input, the PFH500F-28 will deliver 18A at 28V with an adjustment capability of 22.4 - 33.6V via the trim pin or the PMBus™. Other output voltages will be available later in 2018. The module has a baseplate temperature range of -40°C to +100°C and measures 101.6 x 61 x 13.5mm (L x W x H).

  Product features and options include droop mode current share, a 12V auxiliary standby output, remote on/off, remote sense, an open collector power good signal, output trim and PMBus™ communication. The PMBus™ can be used to program the output voltage, activate the remote on/off, change the under/over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature set points, plus read-back input and output current, input voltage and internal temperature.

 Input to output isolation is 3,000Vac, input to case 2,500Vac and 1,500Vdc output to case. Safety certification is to IEC/EN/UL 60950-1 standards with CE marking for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives.
